Rich Damschen

Rich is Advisor to Crew 412, Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 1226 in Pacifica District, and Campmaster and Shooting Sports Director at Oso Lake. Previously, he served as Campmaster at Rancho Las Flores. He was Associate Advisor to the 2017 Jamboree Crew 5103, Assistant Scoutmaster of the 2013 Jamboree Troop D104, Committee Member of the 2010 Anniversary Jamboree Troop 821, Philmont Trek Advisor of Troop 1226, and Shooting Sports Director for the Centennial Encampment in 2010.

He has been on Camporee/Camperall Staff for seven years and held numerous positions in Packs 400 and 557 including Cubmaster of both units. Rich completed Powder Horn training in 2018, Wood Badge training in 2010 and was on Wood Badge staff in 2014 and 2016. He was recognized with the District Award of Merit in 2014.

In addition to Scouting, Rich has volunteered with the Young Men’s Christian Association, the Boys and Girls Club, Kiwanis, and coached hockey, baseball, soccer, archery, and shooting sports for youth. Rich lives in Fountain Valley with his wife Sandra and two sons, Alex and Nico, both Eagle Scouts.
