Carolyn Wertheim

2016

Carolyn serves as Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 618, Saddleback Assistant District Commissioner, and Merit Badge Counselor. She is also an Associate Advisor of the Order-of-the-Arrow, Anasazi Chapter. She was presented with the District Award of Merit In 2013 and the OCC Woman of Scouting in 2009 for outstanding community service.

In addition to Scouting Carolyn volunteers on advisory boards with Help Me Grow Orange County, Saddleback College's Child Development and Education Department and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Professionally, she is Director of Early Childhood Education for Huntington Beach City School District. As a youth, Carolyn was a member of Campfire USA and Ship 516 of the Sea Scouts in Long Beach, California.

Carolyn with her husband Matthew, an Assistant Scoutmaster and their three sons completed a Philmont trek in 2016. Josh, Andrew, and Nick are Brotherhood members of the OA and Life Scouts, each awaiting their Eagle Boards of Review.
