Douglas Stevens


Doug presently serves as Committee Chair of Troop, Varsity Team, and Venturing Crew 730, is a Merit Badge Counselor, Committee Member, and Unit Commissioner for El Camino Real District. From 2012 through 2015, he was District Training Chair where he organized and conducted Scoutmaster Basic Training, Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) and Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO).

Doug completed Wood Badge training in 2005 and was on staff in 2008. He was presented with the District Award of Merit In 2013 and as a youth earned the Eagle Scout Rank in 1968. In addition to Scouting, Doug has held several positions in the San Clemente Stake and the Laguna Niguel Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. These include counselor in the San Clemente Stake Young Men's Presidency, High Counselor, Bishop, Ward Young Men's President, and Seminary Teacher.

Doug lives in Laguna Niguel with his wife Susan. They have a daughter Elizabeth and three sons Mark, David, and Michael each of whom earned the Eagle Scout Rank.
