Curtis Chubbuck

Curtis serves as the Religious Emblems Coordinator, Varsity Specific Trainer, Committee Member, Unit Commissioner, and Merit Badge Counselor in Portola District. He is also a member of Orange County Council's committee. Previously, he served as Scoutmaster of Troop 799, Varsity Coach three separate times (Teams 388, 785, & 799), Venturing Adviser, Charter Organization Representative and Committee Member of Troops 785 and 799. He completed Wood Badge training in 1998 and was presented with the District Award of Merit in 2015.
In addition to Scouting, Curtis is active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints currently serving in the High Council and volunteers at Esperanza High School. He has previously served in many positions at his church, and was also a volunteer fireman and emergency medical technician with the Pasadena Fire Department. When not Scouting, Curtis enjoys running with his daughter's cross-country team. As a youth, Curtis earned the Eagle Rank in 1981 and competed in the National Explorer Olympics in 1980.
He lives in Yorba Linda with his wife Barbra. They have three sons, one daughter, & five grandchildren with another on the way.
