William Spencer

Bill serves on the El Camino Real District Committee and is a Committee Member of Troop 724. Previously, he served as Scoutmaster of Troop 724, Cubmaster and Den Leader in Pack 705, and Director of Cub Scout Day Camp. He mentored 25 Life Scouts that earned their Eagle Rank and mentored Cub Scouts earning their Catholic religious awards.

In 2012, he was Advisor on an OCC Philmont Trek. Bill has also been a trainer for Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS). He was presented with the District Award of Merit in 2012 and the Bronze Pelican Award in 2015. As a youth he received the Arrow of Light in 1966 in Pack 89 in Bettendorf, Iowa and the Eagle Rank, Brotherhood Honor, and God and Country religious award in Troop 65 in Western Springs, Illinois. He also was President of an Explorer Post at McDonnell Aircraft and Yeoman of Sea Scout Ship 352, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bill's father is also a Silver Beaver recipient. Bill lives in Dana Point with his children Will (Eagle Scout), John (First Class), and Anne.
