Jerry Johnson

2015

Jerry serves as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 4 and Troop 314 in Orange Frontier District. Previously, he served as Committee Chair, Cubmaster, Den Leader, and Webelos Den Leader in Pack 280. He has been an instructor in the district for all training venues.

In 2005, he completed Woodbadge and has been on staff for seven subsequent courses and is the Scoutmaster for the 2016 course. He has been on staff for several Camp-O-Rees and Chair of four Webelos Woods. Jerry is an accomplished wood carver and artist. He has received several awards at the Orange County Fair for his caricatures. He is a counselor for the Wood Carving Merit Badge and has helped over 900 Cub Scouts earn the Whittling Chip. He has led Scouts of all ages in constructing and winning sand sculpturing awards at Seal Beach and Belmont Shores.

Jerry is on the Board of Directors for the California Rifle and Pistol Association and an NRA training counselor and instructor. Jerry lives in Westminster with his wife Cheryl, and their sons Jacob (Eagle Scout), Jeremy (Life Scout), and Joshua (First Class).
