Barry Roa

Barry presently serves on the Saddleback District committee. Previously, he has served as Cubmaster, Tiger Cub Coach, Den Leader, and Webelos Den Leader of Pack 800 and Committee Member and Scoutmaster of Troop 615. He was Scoutmaster of Troop C202 that attended the National Scout Jamboree in 2013 at the Bechtel Summit.

In addition to Scouting, Barry has been involved in sports for many years, at the academic, professional, and volunteer level. His first volleyball coach and mentor was influenced by John Wooden. These organizations include Pierce College, California State University Northridge, Laguna Hills High School, Chatsworth High School, the Curtis Wellness Program, the USA Volleyball Association and USA Deaf Volleyball Association. He was head coach of the USA Deaf Men's Volleyball team that competed in the 1985 Deaf Olympics. He is proficient in American Sign Language and uses that proficiency with Scouts and at work.

Barry lives in Laguna Hills with his wife Meg and children Colby (Eagle Scout) and Sarah, a college freshman.
