Bruce Krochman

Bruce presently serves as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 106, Committee Member of Ship 711, plus Unit Commissioner and Committee Member in Del Mar District. He was Committee Chair of National Jamboree Troop 813 in 2010 that traveled to Fort A. P. Hill, Virginia. He was a chaperone to Satahanka XI, the 2008 Finnish International Sea Scout Camp. A Newport Sea Base contingent participated there in cultural and historic expeditions plus aquatics training.
Ship 711 participated in the Ancient Mariner Regatta held in the waters near the historic USS Hornet and in the Southwestern Rendezvous in Port Hueneme. Members of Ship 711 traveled to Washington, DC to be presented with the prestigious National Flagship award. In addition to Scouting, Bruce is a certified instructor in numerous disciplines of the National Rifle Association (NRA). He is also a member of the Costa Mesa-Newport Harbor Lions Club, a board member of the Youth Services Association of Costa Mesa that sponsors Scouting units, and a member of the US Power Squadron.
Bruce lives in Costa Mesa with his wife Janet and their Eagle Scout sons Alex and Max.
