Gordon Pugmire MD

Gordon presently serves as Assistant Council Commissioner of Orange County Council, Chair of El Camino Real District and Committee Member of Troop, Varsity Team, and Venturing Crew 438.

Previously he has served as District Commissioner of Rio Grande District in the Great Southwest Council in Albuquerque, Assistant Scoutmaster of a Troop attending the 1985 National Scout Jamboree. Coach of Varsity Team 438, District Program Chair ECR, and participated in conferences at the Philmont Training Center. Gordon completed Wood Badge training in 2009 and was awarded the District Award of Merit in 2008. As a youth, Gordon earned the Eagle Rank in 1960.

In addition to Scouting, he has been active in the youth programs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Army Field Artillery between 1969 and 1971. Gordon, a Clinical Professor of OBGYN at the UC-Irvine School of Medicine, lives in San Clemente with his wife Emily. They have seven children Jonathan (Eagle Scout), Jeannette, Annalisa, Amy Kay, Ruth Anne, Benjamin (Life Scout), and Bethany Eileen. So far, two of their 10 grandsons are Eagle Scouts.
