Charlie Osaki
2013
Charlie presently serves as Treasurer for Orange County Council and
Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 295 in Orange Frontier District. Previously
he served as Den Leader and Webelos Den Leader in Pack 660 and Committee Chair of Troop 295.
Charlie has completed Wood Badge and High Adventure Backpack Awareness.
Thrice, Charlie and his family hosted Japanese band members participating in
the New Year's Day Tournament of Roses Parade. He also participated in the
2010 Rose Parade when the BSA sponsored a float commemorating their 100th anniversary.
Charlie was a volunteer at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree.
In addition to Scouting, he has volunteered with the Band Boosters at Cypress High School
and as a Site Council Member at Vessels Elementary School. Charlie also volunteers at
Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve overseeing families and corporate groups performing
ecological service projects. Charlie lives in Cypress with his wife Sandy and
daughter Jennifer, a Gold Award recipient and son, Trevor, an Eagle Scout and recipient
of the William T. Hornaday Award for Distinguished Service in Conservation. Charlie's
father Harry is an Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver recipient.
