Tom Olszewski

Tom presently serves as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 657, that he was instrumental
in forming, and on the Orange Frontier District Committee as the Climbing Chair.
Previously, he has served as Scoutmaster of Troop 657, Advisor to Indian Affairs,
EVC, and Chief of Santee Chapter, Wiatava Lodge, Order-of-the-Arrow (OA), twice
District Camporee Chair, and Committee Member and Cubmaster of Pack 601.
He is a certified rock climbing director serving his Troop, District, and
Council plus leading many diverse rock climbing expeditions.
Tom received the District Award of Merit and the Vigil Honor of the OA in 2009.
As a youth he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1983 while in Cypress Troop 611.
He was on the camp staff at Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley during the summers of 1983-1985.
In addition to Scouting, Tom has coached AYSO soccer for his son's team, participates yearly
in the 100 mile Bay to Bay bike ride with his son raising funds for MS. He also volunteers
for We Care in Los Alamitos and the Illumination Foundation in Stanton. Tom lives in Los
Alamitos with his wife Cindy and son Kevin, an Eagle Scout.
