Tung Dinh Nguyen

Tung presently serves as District Commissioner and District Committee Member of El Capitan District, and Committee Member of Troop 1003 and Venturing Crew 1003. Previously he served as Committee Chair and Co-founder of Troop 1930, Explorer Post 1930, Girl Scout Troop 1956 and Coach of Varsity Team 6930 in Los Angeles Area Council. He has also served as Den Leader and Webelos Den Leader of Pack 1003 in El Capitan District.

Tung completed BALOO training and two Wood Badge courses, the first in Los Angeles Area Council and the second, a Varsity Wood Badge in Great Salt Lake Council. He has subsequently been on Wood Badge staff as Assistant Quarter Master. He was honored with the District Award of Merit in 2011 and is a James E. West Fellow. Tung has been involved with the Vietnamese Buddhist Temple, the Quam Am Temple in Riverside, and the Girls Scouts of America.

As a youth, Tung enjoyed camping and mountaineering with the Boy Scouts of Vietnam. Tung lives in Orange with his wife Tiffany. They have two daughters, Nicole and Kaitlyn who enjoy ice skating and piano.
