Amy Kernes
2013
Amy currently serves Wiatava Lodge, Order of the Arrow (OA) as Associate
Adviser to the Troop Representative Chair and Assistant Associate Adviser
to the 2015 NOAC Contingent Leader. She also is on the Portola District
Camporee Committee.
Previously, Amy was the Modoc Chapter Adviser and Chapter Associate
Adviser for eleven years, Portola Adult Recognition Chair, Committee
Chair of Troop 801, attending five summer camps, and Den Leader and
Webelos Den Leader in Pack 707. She attended the Philmont Training Center's OA Lodge Adviser Conference
and completed Wood Badge in 2006. Amy received the District Award of Merit in
2009, Modoc Adult Arrowman of the Year in 2009, and the OA Vigil Honor in 2011.
In addition to Scouting, Amy has been President of the MOMS Club of Brea and
President of the Country Hills PTA. She received the Honorary Service Award from
the Country Hills PTA in 2004 and the Distinguished Service Award from the Kiwanis
Club of Brea in 2009. She is a nest box monitor for the Southern California Bluebird
Club. Amy lives in Brea with her husband Steve, the Portola District Advancements
Chairman, and Eagle Scout sons Justin and Adam.
