John Norment

John currently serves as Membership Chairman and Recruitment Training Instructor for Orange County Council in addition to being a Unit Commissioner in Canyons District. Previously, he has served as Tiger Den Leader, Committee Chairman, and Cubmaster of Pack 235.

In the past six years he has served in numerous district positions, including Membership Chairman, Friends of Scouting Chairman, Webmaster, and on the Camp-O-Ree and Camporall staffs. For the past several years, he volunteers as session leader at the University of Scouting. John has completed Wood Badge and was recognized in 2009 with the District Award of Merit.

In addition to Scouting, John is active with the Red Hill Lutheran Church on the endowment committee, and formerly on the new building campaign committee and as Sunday School teacher. He is a regular blood donor for the local Red Cross. As a youth, John was a member of Pack and Troop 66 in Hagerstown, Maryland and is a member of the Order-of-the-Arrow. John lives in Tustin with his wife Marilyn. They have a son, Daniel and a daughter, Jennifer.
