Ken Andresen
2012
Ken presently serves on the adult leader staff of Venturing Crews 107 and 265
and Activities Advisor to Santee Chapter of the Order-of-the-Arrow in El Capitan District.
He also serves as instructor on the OCC High Adventure Team, the Passport to High
Adventure Training for youth, and the OCC University of Scouting.
He has been an instructor on three Powderhorn events, nine Kodiac and Kodiac-X courses
(advanced leadership training for youth) including serving as Course Director.
He has served as Course Director for rock climbing training, and instructor for caving,
COPE, and wilderness survival at Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley and Irvine
Ranch Outdoor Education Center. He has been a BSA National Climbing School Instructor since 2007.
Ken has completed Wood Badge, Trail Boss Training from the US Forest Service including being instructor certified.
Ken has received the District Award of Merit, the Venturing Advisor's Award, and the William D.
Boyce award for establishing Venturing Crew 167. Ken lives in Garden Grove with his wife Barbara
Jean, a 2011 Silver Beaver Recipient. They have one son, Robert, who is a Life Scout.
