Mark S. Bowles

Mark is District Chairman, Unit Commissioner, and Committee Member of Pack, Troop, Team and Crew 1180 in Portola District. Previously, he served several years in various administrative offices of the same units.

Mark earned Eagle Scout in 1979 and was a youth member of the Order of the Arrow. He completed Wood Badge training in 2009. He was recognized with the District Award of Merit in 2016. In addition to Scouting, Mark was active as Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, Coach, and Assistant Coach of several teams in the Anaheim Hills Little League and Placentia Pony League.

As a dentist, he is active in the Orange County Dental Association providing dental skills for children of families that cannot afford dental services. He is active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as leader of Young Women’s Camps in Big Bear and Catalina, leading canoe treks on the Colorado River, campouts in Yucaipa, white-water rafting on the Kern River, and a youth conference in Utah.

Mark lives in Anaheim with his wife Amanda and Scout sons, Jake (Eagle Scout), Jesse (Life Scout), and Travis (Tiger Cub Scout), and daughters Gaylie and Andie.
