Marianne Perkins

2017

Marianne serves as Unit Commissioner, Representative of the Friends of Scouting, and Merit Badge Counselor in Rancho San Joaquin District, Committee Member of Troop 695, founding member of Venturing Crew 695, and Lead Climbing Instructor for Orange County Council.

As Unit Commissioner, she was instrumental in rescuing a Pack with eleven Cubs and helping it to grow to 57 Cubs in one year. She also assists with Roundtables, the Annual Awards Banquet, and has recruited between 20 to 45 new Scouts per year for the past 12 years. Previously, she has served as Committee Chair, plus Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Den Leader of Pack 612. She received the District Award of Merit in 2015 and the Commissioner of the Year in 2016. In addition to Scouting, Marianne is a parent volunteer at Bonita Canyon Elementary School, a Patron and Host for the Martine Cotillion in Laguna Beach, and active member of the Turtle Rock Summit Homeowner's Association.

Marianne lives in Irvine with her Scoutmaster husband Jason (2016 Silver Beaver recipient), sons Connor, (Eagle Scout), and Bradley, (Life Scout and Eagle candidate). Marianne emanates from a large family that has produced ten Eagle Scouts.
