Patrick Huber

2017

Patrick serves as Awards Chairman and District Commissioner of Los Amigos District and as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 97. Previously, he has served as Den Leader, Committee Member, and Committee Chairman of Pack 1218. He also was District Cub Day Camp Director for five years and still helps staff the event.

At the 2017 Jamboree, Patrick, of Scottish ancestry, was a member of the Highland Games event that taught the caber toss. Each participating Scout, unassisted, lifted a vertical 10-foot telephone pole from the bottom end, tossed it into the air so that it rotated and landed on the opposite end and fell away from the thrower. Most were eager to try and nearly all successfully flipped the caber. One threw it successfully 10 times and one continued to try until he was ultimately successful. Patrick completed Wood Badge training in 2010 and was on staff in 2012. He received the District Award of Merit in 2012.

In addition to Scouting, Patrick volunteered as Coach and Scorekeeper for the Little League baseball teams on which his two sons participated. He was also active with the Raymond Elementary School PTA as classroom and field trip helper. Patrick lives in Fullerton with his wife Jessica, and two sons William, a Star Scout, and Alex, a Tenderfoot.
