Lawrence Bennett

Larry serves as Committee Member of Troop 93 in Los Amigos District. Previously, he was Committee Chair of both Pack 1218 and Troop 93 plus serving on the Los Amigos District Committee. As a Scouter, he has logged over 1,250 miles backpacking and approximately 225 nights camping. He led two Philmont Scout Reservation treks and participated in a third trek in 2015.

In addition, he led three Camp-O-Ree trips to West Point Military Academy, returning with the first-place saber on one of the trips. He organized and led the troop's first trek of the entire John Muir Trail from Mt. Whitney to Yosemite Valley, which he repeated in 2016. Larry completed Wood Badge in 2005 and was presented with the District Award of Merit in 2013. In addition to Scouting, he has served on several City of Fullerton committees, is a long-time member of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Fullerton Rotary, and volunteers with the Comfort Zone Camp, a children's bereavement program, and the Joya Scholars, a local college readiness program.

Larry lives in Fullerton. David, his son, obtained Eagle Scout in 2007 and Laura, his daughter is a registered nurse.
