Jason Perkins

2015

Jason presently serves as Scoutmaster of Troop 695, a unit commissioner, and BSA's lead climbing instructor in Rancho San Joaquin District. In addition to Scouting, he has coached and refereed volleyball, soccer, and baseball youth teams for the past 20 years. During his senior year at Corona del Mar High School the volleyball team won the CIF Championship.

Jason continued to be an accomplished athlete during his college career at the University of Southern California. While there, he was Captain of the volleyball team, a four-time All-American and letterman. He still holds the record for the highest hitting percentage at USC. His team won the National Championship in 1990. Since graduation he has played with the US National Volleyball Team winning the Silver Medal at the World University Games in Sheffield, England. He was also involved in cross-country bicycle racing where he was a two-time State Champion.

Jason brings his athletic experience to Scouts by being counselor for the Athletics, Sports, Climbing, Cycling, Personal Fitness, Snow Sports, and Swimming Merit Badges. Jason lives in Irvine with his wife Marianne and their two sons, Connor (Eagle Scout) and Bradley (Star Scout).
